whats the insurance like on a 2.0l si? i bin driving 2 n a half years with 2 years no claims but i do have 3 points for speeding. cheers

why not do a online quote to find out, just find reg for 2.0 mondeo that the engine would come out and see what the cost is

with 4 years ncb no points and 4 yrs driving, including all mods it was about £900. Ive just renewed with 5yrs ncb and 5yrs driving for £600 with everything covered like for like

Sorry but prepared to get flamed, saying stuff like that is just stupid. Also saying it when your trying to sell the car isnt going to help and gives a bad image of yourself and thus the car you have. Inotherwords, dont say stuff like that, its not big or clever.

cheers guys. if i put a 2.0 mondeo engine in my fez would the insurance group go up? bigger engine in small car n all that.

It depends how the insurance company loooks at it. basicly, hopefuly no, as the engine comes from a car of the same insurance group. Even so it is still classed as a power modification, and you will have to go through a more exspensive specialist insurer to get insurance on it, so it will never cost you the same. Some companies (specialists) wont insure under 20 yr olds, or people who have been driving less than 2 years. My gf is 20 and has had her licence a year, to put her on my insurance would cost an extra £600.
