2.0L Zetec-E series 2 performance
Hi all ,
Having just completed a 2 litre transplant into my adoring si the car seems to be going fine BUT I'm sure there is more power there.
Firstly when I changed the MAF sensor to a mondeo one and plugged it in the car sounded awful, so I refitted my 1.6 version and the car seems to be running fine.
Do I need to change the ECU also? I need more power as the car seems to be running slower than I would have expected?
Thanks

yu alright mate where in London you from im just outside north london and have a 2.0 si also.
Youe need a 2.0 ecu either DEEP, TELL or another i cant remember
then you need the 2.0 maff which has a bigger internal diameter and is also the same diameter all the [ERRR] thorough unlike the 1.6 maff, you will find the pipe that usually goes from the 1.6 plenium to the maff will no longer fit. I found a 2.0 mondeo inlet pipe will fit the 1.6 plenium and 2.0 maff or you can use a k&n inlet pipe that goes stright from the butterfly to the maff.

Bexleyheath, on the south east side!!
I went to the scrappies and they started telling me that the need specific codes and that it is risky. I guess I need a mondeo 2.0l ecu.
My car had a series 2 1.6 zetec e taken out of it.
Finally I have a K&N pipe but the MAF end doesn't fit over the 2.0l version as it is well bigger? Do I need a mondeo K&N Pipe?

na my k&n pipe was for a fiesta. It was a right baxtered to get over the maff but with a bit of lube and a lot of patience it will go over. And as for a specific code i just took it off a 2.0 mondeo the code doesnt matter aslong as it is a 2.0 one

my pipe fits just inside the MAF sensor and i don't think it will stretch out that far!

one big thing i found it the timing mark that is pick up on the inlet cam at the right hand side cause a problem. if you run the 2.0 on 1.6 ecu it well holds back you need to sort the ecu 1.8 youll fine when i tried it just misfired and fires on two spoke to ford technical via a friend at ford ad this is what they told me the problem was
