A zetec already fiesta has the correct loom, fuel tank/pump/fuel lines and uprated brakes/suspension to go with the engine.

Is it a fact that lines and tank need to be changed on a late mk3.5 CFi car?

The fuel lines are ok but the zetec fuel pump is required. You have to take the tank off to replace the pump so it's just easier to replace the whole tank.

well i've just finished this conversion tonight although its a rs1800 engine not a 2.0 but same principle, i've not had to change the fuel pump or tank or anything like that !
but everything else has to be changed i already had brakes and suspension to cope with the new engine but ur gunna need engine loom ecu gearbox driveshafts everything basically, its pretty strait forward tho everything fits strait back in place with the exception of the front engine mount on the zetec needs to be put in place this is simple enough as the holes for the bolts to hold it on are already there on the chassis so its a case of bolting it on !
nothing else major i can think of off hand i had to mess about changing one plug on the loom but if you get the loom and engine from the same car you shouldnt have to do this !

Fezzymk3.5: Have you not found it starts to lean out at high revs? As I am sure you are aware that is a one way ticket to screwing up the engine. The CFI fuel pump will run a 1600 zetec but anything above 1600 and you will need the better pump.

Let us know how you get on.

This might also work:

http://www.djstalker.com/content/view/91/44/

CFi fuel pump will not work with a 2.0L Zetec. Tank, lines and car-side loom will be fine.

Engine loom and ECU, etc, will need to be changed to suit.

Im doing the same thing, pump will have to be changed, as flow rates are very different. as posted above, it will run, but under load will be very lean.

Rate of fuel use under load is hugely different than when ticking over !

I've got the base 1.1 CFI, and only wiring mod so far is to fit a different connector from the main loom, easy job (10 mins).

All the rest should be a bolt in job, still got a few bits to collect though

Hope this helps
