2 L turbo Conversion
How much work needs to be done to the block of a 2L engine?
is it that much??
Is it the black top engine that is easiest??
is £550 a lot for a complete block

£550 for just the work on the block is a lot for a ZVH as only 7 holes have to drilled and tappet and 5 holes have to be bunged up and also a turbo oil return needs to be welded into the sump.

I payed £120 for a whole RS 1800 bottom end ! if you want a ZVH best to plump for 1800 as 2ltr and above requires headwork !
you need
a blanking plug bored out and tube inserted for oil return
zetec breather blocked
water pump plate
water pump plate holes (3) drilled and tapped
tensioner holes drilled and tapped (2)
Breather placed at back of block
4 front oil pthways blocked and skimmed
Compression lowered im using standard zetec pistons skimmed to give 8.0:1 which means i cant run over 1 bar of boost or they will pop ure looking at £500 - £600 for a set of forged items
you will need a fiesta oil pump (£90 from ford) as its angled so as the filter does not hit chassis
zetec escort or fiesta sump is also need for downpipe to go thru.
if you want a 2ltr you also have to do some headwork ive been informed im not doing that so i dont know wot !
A full zetec just requires the breather oil return but also needs the head modding for manifold. You will have to buy forged pistons for a 16v so thats an extra £500
oh and £550 is an extorsionate ammount for a 2ltr Phil Si grabbed his for a princely sum ! about £300 less

Sunny.
Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

I suspect the list goes a lil like this:
Low Comp Pistons to lower c/r,
ECU Management Remapped,
Uprated Injectors (if ur looking for over 250)
Turbo,
Intercooler.
But hey i dont anything.
