2000cc Zetec, what is it?

Is it a bored out 1800cc block or is it a different block all together?

If i had a 1800cc Zetec block could it be bored out to accept 86mm pistons and still be reliable?

I would imagine it is a block made for the task.

Cast as a 2.0.

If you think a block might be a bored out 1800, check the casting stamps, they have the displacement embossed on the front or back.

Right thanks, answered my question as i have a 1800cc zetec and want a 2000cc car i was wondering if i was wasting my own time trying to find a 2000cc engine when the 1800cc one could be adapted.
