Im stealing the mrs 2001 mk5 fiesta 1.25 zetec and bringing it to Germany with me (as my Fiesta RS Turbo would probably die once it left Belfast LOL), so i had to replace her car!

Got it for a bargain in comparison to the rest advertised!

Escort Cosworth alloys
Good buff
Sort out a wee split in the rear window
Spray in the meshing satin black (front bumper grille, the grille above the front bumper and the strip below the tailgate

Really good driving car. It actually surprised me. And it has an alloy gearknob as standard. Wtf?? Lol

Anyway here is the inspiration behind the plans!

These are incredible bargains IMO. They have aged really well too.

What is it like for wind/road noise in the cabin when the hood is up?

Your are 100% right. Really good bargains!! Age well because they have no roof drains to filter off water to the sills!! Sills on this one are amazing to be honest!!!

The road noise sounds the exact same should you have the roof up or down. My mrs was worrying incase it would blow the head of her. Sitting up the motorway at 70mph with the roof down, she was sold on the car and the fact there was virtually any turbulence inside the cabin!!

She loves it!

Just got home last night to see the mrs, and since the last journey home - my mate went hunting and found me a really cheap set of escort cosworth wheels. Completely original paintwork, few marks and scrap tyres. But tyres didnt matter as i needed at the most 195/45/16s to get them on the wifes StreetKa. Its a good job that stock StreetKa wheels have 195/45/16s on them :)

So got them fitted, give the car a mini valet and a good polish. I think as it is, the ride height is fine. But to pull off a better look, it will need slammed. So 50/50 at the min whats gonna happen. Its going tomorrow for a cat-back stainless system and i think i will get a set of metro style plates tomorrow.

Here is the pics anyway:

Definately getting a hardtop soon, get all the grilles blackened, and debadging at the front! But considering de-tangoing the headlights and buying another bootlid to debadge the rear and flush the recess for the badge!

Absolutely no buffing what so ever!! Dont't really wanna slam it and have it undriveable, but yes it would look better lowered a bit more. Though im scared of having just -30mm springs in and it buffing!!

After seeing this I'm now heading towards buying a Sport Ka. They just have perfect stance for the Cosworth's.

My next purchase was either a Ka or a ZS.

Looks awesome, get it lowered a touch and it'll look even better :Q
