200BHP - Standard Head??

Postby ~Tony~ on Sun Jul 02, 2006 5:46 pm

As Title can I get 200BHP using a standard cylinder head if not what work needs to be done to the cylinder head.
Cam ? Porting ? Valves?

Reason I am asking is that i have a good standard cylinder head an want to do any work myself

Cheers Tony

My old engine made 205bhp on standard head but with piper cam. So its do-able. Would be more achievable with a bit of porting, shouldnt need to go to big valve unless your looking for 220+

Not yet fella! i pulled it apart again after FITP becuase i bought a couple of red hoses and they were the wrong size so i spat my dummy and left it alone for a couple of weeks cause of work stuff

took friday off and got my tyre fitted, reasembled it and fitted the uprated oil spring!

i still think the oil pressure is a little low and it might be getting a bit warm :(

got sooo many things to do and not enough time! took it for a spin and it felt great its just i cant leather it yet! i really wanna get it tuned ASAP but im goin Norway next week for 8 days so im always struggling for time!

it stresses me out so fookin much, willl be sweet once i pull my finger out though!

im not expecting much because im still on Bieges and i think they are pretty much maxed out, if i see 230bhp on the rollers ill be happy.....for now
