205/60 R13s on a mk3 fiesta

Would these rub? More to the point would it make steering unimaginably heavy with such wide tyres?

Personally i think they are horrible but, in theory, would it work?

theyre not off a capri. the capri ones i have are 8J. and i qould imagine fitting them would make the steering heavier to turn as will fitting larger ones or doing anything by changing the standard wheels and tires will alter the steering and how it feels.

Then you don't have Capri ones. Capri pepperpots and 7-spokes are 7J, and Capri four-spokes are 6.5J. Dunno what 8J ones would be from :-?

Bear in mind that the Capri pepperpots will be RWD offset, which is much lower than FWD offset, so they'll probably foul the arches pretty badly.
My name is Alex. I used to have a Capri. I don't anymore. But I'm still called Capri.
