As much as i love my mk4 it just dont fit into my life now im a family man with 2 kids. im looking to either sell it for a good price or swap / px for something more standard that i can get my kids in. but preferably an 80s fiesta or escort with low miles and no rot.
My car is mint. Alot of money spent on this. original bodywork and rust free. 22k from new. 2.0l zetec with power steering. its basically a track car with completely stripped interior. full cage. harnesses etc. my kids dont like it lol.

Because your new on here mate im going to help you out forum rules say you must put up a price and more details of the car might help sell it like what year the shell is is a 3i /turbo shell or just a standard one does it have mot and is it legal for the road

you know just general details like you say 22k is that the engine or the shell and do you have proff how mint is the shell cos iv seen a lot of minters that are bags of rust dont take it personal
how much are you wanting for it cos without a price you get bampots like me saying ill gie ye 200 quid for it

The shell is 22k with proof of miles. No rust on any part of car. even underneath. waxoiled and undersealed. fully road legal with tax and mot. engine is a 40k miler fully stripped and rebuilt. full safety device roll cage worth about 450-500 secon hand. private plate worth at least 1000. Shell was a bonus shell. Turbo technics twin anti roll bar setup worth alot. Rst lsd box. Cossie brakes all round. list goes on...... ill start it at £3500

Ok you tell me what you think its worth. But bare in mind its 22k miles. its also quicker than rst. better spec brakes. full roll cage. anti roll bar setup. mint cossie rims. power steering conversion. private plate worth a grand. No rust!

That private plate is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. The car would be a lot more appealing to most people if it was £2500 on original registration.

Thats the sorta price i had in mind...and tbh it would need an interior in it as well!!

Lets be honest, its just an escort bonus with a 2.0 zetec engine in it, wheels and sticker kit!

A sought after and rare fiesta rs turbo, can barely claim £3500. So how would a base escort with a conversion claim that price?

more than 1.5 imo, if its as good as the guy says (and does look clean/nicely done).

if i was in the market id give 2-2.5k, but youre right it is lacking an interior and doesnt make it all that practical...

I may have to break it because of the debate about value. You cant talk about market value when its a 80s car with 22k. all i know is if you manage to find one with a shell this good then it would be 2000 alone without the thousands I have spent on it.
There hard to find without rust. but anyway its not just a bonus with stickers and a zetec. its so much more.
Thats like saying a focus rs is just a standard focus with big wheels and a turbo.
ps i have the interior here and spare 16" mondeo rims and loads of spares.
Would be a shame to break it

40k miles silvertop, full rebuild, stage 2 head, rs1800 cams, alloy adjustable pulleys, 4-2-1 stainless full system, rs2000mk5 management, rs2000 injectors, knife edge throttle, adjustable fuel reg, superchip.
did 14.8 quarter mile on poo 195 tyres.
probably 14.5 on the cossie rims and toyo 205 tyres.
spax adjustable suspension.
front mount fan, bonnet raisers, heater matrix removed, electric fan heater.
the car is very light.
its basically like a kit car, no good for practicality except the huge boot means its like a pickup

By going with wot u see...ad wise won't be far off but ......would sell plate seperatlty tho .......all about who's looking at the time and at the moment not a lot off peeps looking....hard market just now even rs's advertising for a while before they go

Sale on hold. i drove it at weekend and thought i heard an engine rattle. which is odd because ive hardly driven it. drives perfect but sounded like a rattle at 3000 rpm with light throttle?!?!? No rattles at other rpm or under load so not sure what it is
