does the gearbox have custom ratios
if it does itll obviously affect accel and top speed so to some it does matter if you have a cts stage 2 box

No, i asked for the S2 ratios+final drive as they are ok for my needs.
The Orion box has a different final drive to the S2 and that didn't help its performance

Just fitted a twin master cylinder pedal box like the one Dave Moore from PF mag has on is XR2 No pics of that yet, also sold the chrome cam cover and will be power coating the strut brace the same colour as the new cam cover.

My new inlet set up and a 2nd bank of injectors set at the mouth of the trumpet so 8 altogether
Image

My new Heater motor setup as the orion one if twice the size and the trumpets hit it so a Mk2 fiesta one is used.
Image

And the best to last my new wheels, New set of 6 spoke MO's in 16in

They don't do a pedal box for the Escort/Orion so i made the Fiesta one fit by needs of a hybrid bracket Fiesta/Orion.

Thats not the same as mine at all as my primarys are a lot longer ( the colector is at the same level as the lower part of the sump) and the bore is bigger too.

Don't skim it that much, just do it to clean the face then fit a 2.0 Focus head gasket ( fin 1105772 ) as its thinner than and multi layer steel.

If you skim the head alot then it would be best to CC the head and work out the compresion ratio as i wouldn't go any higher than 11:1 as you will melt a piston unless you swap to forged.

A lot of people get the wrong idea about 8 injectors on a N/A engine.

Take a Paul Johnsons Zetec Turbo
The first set of injectors will run until the boost comes in and then the 2nd bank of injectors will come in and both will run at a high duty cycle

Mine engine N/A zetec
The first inner set of injectors will help with cold start and low revs, the 2nd set will come in at lets say 4k rpms and the 1st set will fade out so all 8 will run about 40% of there duty cycle.

Excellent work, 300brake n/a in a orion, what does yours handle the power like as my orion turbo 210bhp weren't too clever on the road.

Mine wont produce the same amount of torque as a turbo engine so it should be nice to drive
