Anyone!

If I had say a 1.6 zetec engine and a XR2i 8v with a shagged engine do you reckon it would be worth whacking the zetec in?
Also could someone pleeeaaaaassseee tell me what would be involved in the swapover. I'm pretty sure that I could keep the fuel tank, brakes, driveshafts and gearbox but I'm not sure.
Ladz (and lasses) any opinions are welcomed..........................

CheeRS, Rob.
m8, i can't help wondering why you want to put the zetec in a 2i, as it would have less power than a 2i lump yet still leave you stung with 2i insurance.
maybe it'd be cheaper to buy a pukka 2i, or si?
i don't know much about engine transplants but i don't think fitting the zetec should be much of a problem as i think they're pretty similar.
hope thats of some use to you!
Can see you're point mate, but I'm a student so lack of cash! I can pick up a 2i with a nice body for about £500. I am hopefully getting a zetec engine cheap and so I thought I could whack this in. Insurance shouldn't be too much of a prob. as I'm under my Mum's.

What do you reckon now?

Cheers, Rob.
