Bumper is looking 'different'.. not sure of the bottom vent though but i'm sure once the paint is on it will look great

Hey peeps, havent updated this for AGES now so thought i would inform you of my progress...well i havent had the car for the last 2 weeks as its been at the body shop getting the wings and front slam panel welded in...have also painted under the arches...not a full on job, needs finishing yet but looks impressive so far :top:
inner arches are now at this stage:
when i dropped the car off it was looking like this:
picked it up from the bodyshop today like this:
the paint on the slam panel and inside the wings needs to be finished off yet but the sprayer will do that when i drop the car off ready for priming...
will take some proper pics of the car tomo with the bits on...
on tomo's todo list:
shape rear arches
go over all filled bits and make sure they are perfect
get rid of rust on sunroof
carry on sanding rest of car
should be back at the bodyshop in about 2-3 days to get everything primered :top: :top:
cant wait!!!

Looking good but why have they sprayed round the edges of the new wings if the whole car is going to be sprayed at a later date?

updated peeps!
ok, now where to begin lol...work done to the car this week is:
Remove windscreen
Remove ALL rust from car - sunroof and windscreen
sand complete car
prime car
finish rear arches
flatten door handles
remove little dings and dents
some pics
the car has been coated in Glasurit Primer where needed (only parts not to be done was the boot, small bit on the door and c pillars....primer alone cost £195!!! but the quality of the stuff is amazing! even the sprayer stood back and said that is a good finish...he aint looking forward to sanding it though as he tried a little today (to get rid of a few imperfections) and he said its like rock LOL...looks like sanding will take longer than expected
am going to wait 1 week before we start sanding the car so the primer has had the chance to dry FULLY and hopefully help give a better finish instead of only the top layer being dry and us sanding then quickly spraying it...
roll on next week :top: :top:

from what i have heard adz yes you will get a better finish...also depends alot on the primer used...as i have said i have spent £195 on primer alone! its meant to be the best stuff on the market so ill give it a go and see what the final peice comes out like...the sprayer is WELL impressed so far though as said above...
the problem with body shops is that they dont allow the primer to dry fully...they heat it up with a heat gun or something for a few hours then flatten and spray it with the final colour coats then buffer the next day or later on that day...there is no way the paint would have dried FULLY
with mine, im leaving the primer on for a week if not longer...then flatten, then paint, leave paint on for 3-4days, then buffer up and polish it all....atleast i will know that the paint will FULLY dry before any sanding or cutting takes place
