jonboisescort :its done 34k ---- has been off the road a few years and previos mots shows it was doing 1000 miles a year

That doesnt add up, that means the car is 34 years old at least, but if it was off the road for a few years it means that its more than 34 years old cos some years it didnt do any miles :-? :-?

 Just messing with ya. I know what you mean. Whats the plan? clean up and leave as is? loving the originality of it though, feeling the beige :D

WOW that's clean :o I'd go with bike carbs a fast road cam and slammed on either pepperpots , minilites or Capri 4 spokes :Q

So clean! That's lovely, it really is :)

As much as I hope it stays together, if you ever happen to remove the engine for something else, let me know if you want to part with it :D

Defo a 1.3. Change the crank for a 1.6 item and the engine would be a 1.6 instead ;)

Awesome, cheers, Jon!

And yes, the 1.3 was around until about 1986 when it was replaced with the 1.4. There was also a 1.1 CVH!

As far as I'm aware, the 1.9 and 2.0 CVH were American-only engines used in their Escorts and I think they did use the 2.0 in a Focus, but I can't remember! I don't think they ever used a CVH in any of their Contour (Mondeo-based) models?

Ooh, just looked, they did use a 2.0 in their Focus up until 2004!

Jon, how's the dash? Has it cracked at all? Does that radio still work? That's such a classic! :D
