Excursion :That's the later lead, Rob - I don't think they are especially rare. I bought a full set from eBay last year for £25 delivered and put them on the 1.4 Ghia I used to run.

The really rare leads are all red.

its a red top as opposed to later black top, i think the year on it is 1992 on the dealer sticker :)

or are you talking about the bit the plugs into the coil should be red?

I've got a load of FRST leads but never paid attention to which ones they are, might be the same but more likely to be black tops.

Postby rob pace on Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:29 pm

havent updated in months so here goes, some parts arent fitted yet until the front end gets sprayed next year   -

managed to source another genuine ford larger style backbox to go with the other middle section, mild bit of surface rust but nothing too bad, so now i have 2x FRST exhausts  just for keeps really and its very rare to go with this middle section :) -

Image
Image

had the crossover pipe, thermostat housing, exhaust manifold heatshield, jack brace bolt and HT lead bracket refurbished. the heatshield was zink coated, its a little chrome for me but will do for now until i find a new one. also original tax disk holder re-done as my original one is showing its age and a new rear window sticker as my one in the back window has a small tear in it. :)

Image

jack refurbished thanks to RS EDDIE, amazed how good it looks powdercoated, still awaiting original yellow stickers for it :)

Image

my original white motorcraft battery decided to die on me, so i had to settle for a black square post one and had the stickers re-made :)

Image

found a brand new old stock header tank to water pump hose for spares, new spare wheel hook, coil pack cover, headlight adjustor, wheel bearings and very good non ABS mater cylinder for when the ABS eventually gets removed. if you look back i sourced some non ABS brake lines and a brand new brake resivoir pot, this will be all done together with the new front wheel bearings sometime next year when the front end goes in for a respray as i had some idiot scuff the side wing and bumper, also bonnet will be sprayed again + front scuttle will be sprayed :)

Image

new genuine ford valeo headlights :)

Image

new red top HT leads, original factory ford stamped ones and not motorcraft stamped ones, will be going in the loft for now as i need to find lead no. 4 :)

Image
Image

another mint doorcard to make up 2 spare sets i have in the loft :)

Image
Image

new genuine ford rear lights :)

Image

some new genuine ford jubilee clips :)

how engine looks at the moment :)

ive got lots to update soon!! but heres a good recaro interior i picked up!

picked this up today (bit dusty still :bonkers: )! no rips, tears or fag burns and nice and straight, with a good clean it would suit a show car easy! for a very good price :D i asked the guy if he was sure he wanted to sell it at the price and he was happy! its going straight in the loft tomorrow just incase anything happens to mine etc....... :)

will probably get rid of the door cards as ive already got 2 mint pairs!
