5-door Fiesta turbo - what to do with suspension?
Hi,
Few months ago my friend and I finished Megasquirt instalation in his (previously 1.3 carburated) Fiesta - car is going pretty good even with low boost, but std suspension started to show some weakness with new torque as expected
I tried to search through many posts around here for some more info about suspension mods but it seems that in UK there are so many options, and unfortunately I am not very much into Ford's - and Fiesta turbo with modified suspension can be very hard to find around here in Croatia...
So the question is - what to do with suspension?
It is going to be daily driven, so it shouldn't be too harsh - we need compromise between comfort and handling.
What suspension parts can be used from other Fords as some possible upgrades ?
What are the weak spots on Fiesta's suspension?
And finaly where can I buy complete kits for lowering , polyurethane bushing kits and similar stuff?

Your best option is a Koni adjustable suspension mine cost me £375 from http://www.larkspeed.com not sure about postage to croatia but someone over there should be able to source it.

Your best bet would be to get standard FRST suspension. It's stiffer and lower than normal but still has some comfort to it!

2 mintwhiters:
Tnx, I visited their pages, and looked a little bit on ebay and found this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POWERFLEX-SUSPENS ... dZViewItem
So this is complete polyurethane bushing kit - is it compatibile with 1991 MK3 5 door Fiesta?
I suppose yes , but I want to be sure.
Btw, , let's say that budget for suspension mods is around 600-700 pounds - how would you spend that money on suspension for your Fiesta?
2 Feersum_Enjin:
I would go that route for sure if only Fiesta RST was more popular around here...but is there another option- maybe some parts borrowed from XR2, Escort RST, etc?

Kids are having fun in their own 5-door turbo fiesta, with tiny boost.
