50mm springs on 60 or 35mm shocks?

Postby dee_RS_2ltr on Wed Apr 19, 2006 9:55 pm

i currently have 50mm springs on the front of my feista (they are fiesta center springs) and they are on -60mm PI shocks. they have been knocking ever since they have been fitted. could this be due to the springs (even though they are seated correctly, and have checked twice) or could this be due to the shocks being for a 60mm drop? Would i of been better to put them on 35mm shocks? The backs ones are fine they are both PI shocks and springs -60mm.

any help would be great :D

im 90% sure its the shocks. although i could take it to a garage and have someone look at it. the wishbones look fine, as do the ARB and i dont think its the steering rack. if i open the bonnet and put my hand on the top of the strut and bounce the car up and down i can feel the knocking through the strut.
