5th injector??
is it possible/worth to fit a 5th injector to an EFI 1.8 ZVH (frst management) or is it just MFI??
i read in the tuning section on the home page something about a stage 2 chip making adjustments (spelling) to the timming and fuelling so i wouldnt need a 5th??
cheers

u dont need to add a 5th injector, u could just uprate them if u wanted more fuel.
but yes a 5th is an easier option in my book.

Beige injectors with an uprated fuel pump should cope with that, but you wont know until rolling roaded.

as for 5 injecotr no
a ERST uses an airflow meter under the airbox cone etc
essentially this is a flap the more boost you run the further down the flap is pushed by the air goign passed it and it calculates the fuel needed.
On ERST there not like pulsed electronic injectors they are just opened and closed the time they stay open for dictates how much fuel goes in
at silly boost the fueling is at max and cannot be increased so a 5th injector is added to spray extra fuel in to avoid detonation or melting of pistons.
Bit lame really and as every one said EFI just need bigger injectors !
Oh thisis also one of the main reasons why erst engines are so much cheaper to tune than FRST simply becaus fueling is piece of pi55 to up !
also an airflow meter is only good for like 250 bhp so anyoen running standard ERST gear who claims they have more is well hmmm

5th injector not needed (bad idea) on EFi as management can be combined with higher flow injectors and uprated fuel pump to provide more accurate fuelling.
Oh, and LOL 2 u no hoo
