6 months out of work..
Yes thats right, ive been out of work 6 months since being laid off before Christmas, prior to this i was a van driver.
All my work experience since leaving school (im 24) is either driving related or warehouse, trouble being i recently got disqualified from driving, so one of those is out of the question and the other isnt much better, one because the warehouses are a good 10 miles out of town and two the poles and the foreigners have taken all the work round here, all that seems to be left is 6 hours a week cleaning loos, or cold calling sales for minimum wage..
Anyone else in the same boat?
If i didn't live alone id be thinking of retraining in something, but then again every industry seems to be hit at the moment.

its not just you, most people are in the same boat, im quite lucky as the aircraft industry is still going strong enough to demand sub contractors
But if i were you i would think of retraining, thats what il be doing the end of this year
