6x9 wiring

Postby musicdrummer42 on Thu May 11, 2006 6:44 pm

right, just wired my 6x9's up to my 306 using the original rear speaker wiring, but they aren't as bassy as they used to be in my fez and saxo when i used some proper speaker wiring. when i fade to one side, so only one speaker is being used, the bassyness comes back, yet when both are at the same volume, it goes again!

my question is, if i use the wiring i used to wire them to my other cars, will the power of the speakers go back to normal, as the original speaker wiring may not be able to cope with the extra power?

cheers.

pete.

think you may have one out of phase, the + and - terminals may need switching round on the speakers
