UPDATE 27/4/13
Right over the last few days ive found the Balls to get brave and get the kit off( )..
PLEASE SEE THREAD HERE body-kit-fittings-help-vt197091/
IM IN REAL NEED OF HELP AND ADVICE PLEASE!!
Bit Random but work pattern dont help, and wether today has been s**t so not alot done..but..im quite surprised at my findings..
Love these little orig feature's..
Mainly surface below, one 1inch bit of outer skin to pop a patch into an jobs done
So onto todays finding's...
Surprising its still here, was expecting woodscrews tbh..
Sadly front arch brace was broken, but the bits still there so, plastic welding will commence..
Drivers sill half way along, just under top of kit..
Wacked it and its solid
Now the one i feared most...Drivers QTR...
Un-repaired studs an all
So the big reveal...
TA DAAAAAAAAA
Well chuffed!!, Its simply been one of its many shades of dodgy paint/prep causing its to blister like a cnut.
Debating bare metaling it as yet again its remarkably solid...i do have inner and outer repair panels so could do lip repairs....
Good solid sills..
again i reckon a few patch lip repairs will sort it, only issue is drivers rear wax plugs abit holed but no biggie..
Again pure surface corrosion below..
BELOW...HENCE the name 7 SHADES
And my last two favourite pics...
Actually fixed the splitter back on(3+yrs waiting )
And finally...a few little piece's of her ashes to ashes routine..
Subsequently swept under neighbours car
So for now an today thats it....
Appreciate the abuse as always

Trouble is when your trying to find the "whats OE" an whats not it takes so long to strip...that qtr arch took 1hr
Yeah im really glad, only nasty bit i know of is back panel and the bits on lower qtr's(had to do a bodge repair) few yrs ago for MOT but got the repair sections now so fingers crossed...

Thanks mate, if it looks qtr as good as yours i'll be happy
Yeah as i say when i viewed her originally she had been sat on pissheads for a good while, i think tbh the overally condition put many off, i saw threw the scratches and bodges, new it'd had work but tbh there aint many that aint so was a better gamble imop.
iTS FILTHY/scratched but i think the 100ltrs of oil on it have helped...time will tell when the wings come off and the jig comes out to play....
Now to get the front arches off(ive a feeling they AINT OE ).....

Re: Project 7 Shades...UPDATE 7/5/13 pg4
Right bit of an update being as i had "some " spare time over the bank holiday weekend...
So first off my new back panel skin...
It aint even been opened yet, only sat for about a week, so could be anything inside
My latest additions..
They have even got the little square holes for the plastic screw-ins for the arch screws
They doo feel very good so hoping they may be Hadrians....fit time will tell..
Got the pair off a local lad for £60 including pettie for me mate...
couple of very minor dents but nothing to worry about so im chuffed.
And they come with many return THANKYOU'S to JayRS and Mr clarke for their advice on these, as always im VERY greatfull to you Gents
Good job i got em as the next few pics will show...
So i decided to get the front arch's off...Not happy tbh..spot the obvious issue's here
Good job i found the others when i did
Thus the above resulted in this..
They are both fcuked, so i need a pair pronto
So to cheer myself up i did this..
Then continued on and decided to turn her into a base model..
2hrs( )later and they were all off safe and sound, 99%straight an all
So what next..? well.............from this......
I used this..
To create this
The stuff is pure Evil..and im seriously impressed with it on the beast, i use it all day long and new it'd be good but im shocked at how well it done..it Makes EVERY other degreaser ive tried look pathetic
Its main purpose is for industrial cleaning of commercial floors in like HGV workshops, and for Blood removal on concrete an the like..well it has another string now
After feeling rather chuffed i just done some very random "hang tight im coming" priming till i get the compressor i sooooooo desperately need, then its bare metal time
Hoping this weekend to get her up and give her belly a good wash, then drop the the running gear and get her on the jig for a true inspection of her condition...im Praying tbh
So not much to report but the balls rolling so i just hope i can start to up the anti and get putting her straight metal an paint wise....

13/5/13...
So had a couple hrs free yesterday, decided to get brave an risk bathing her during a Hurricane, hence its only 4ft off floor
Will be bringing her out again weekend coming, going for max lift this time
But also because im trying to figure out a way of doing the same(lifting high)with the rear end..
Any ideas anyone???
Anways.. Found a sticker...
Its spanish so will get it off AT some point, bet it translates into "wrong wing"
Good to see solid floors though, couple of footwell seems to check at base of bulkhead, and abit of inner sill at front..not worrying toooooooo much till its on jig, paints desperate though as factory primer minus waxoil aint gonna hold forever
Its had a TON of waxoil over its belly...
think thats probs been the best thing thats been done for her...baxtard to get off so will scrape when/if on jig...
Thats it, plenty of bits in post and loft... so for now..a little often
Oh and ive finished me roller....
Poxy camera dates

Decent length of wood across the rear beam (so the beam don't bend) jack it in the centre, once so high put something under the wheels, raise the jack from the floor and repeat until car is as high as you want then support with axle stands or fix the spit in place and then lower the body back down so the weight is off the wheels and bk on the spit.
Of course do this with the front end sound and stable

Re: Project 7 Shades...UPDATE 13/5/13 pg4
Lol I used a bit of thick decking (its about 38mm thick) and old bottle crates under the wheels when I raised clarks car up. Also as the axle stands didn't go high enough, and wouldnt of been safe, I used 2 old steel rims with with half inch metal plate on top to rise them up.

Re: 7 Shades...UPDATE 20/5/13 IM GUTTED
Well what can i say.
Finally today assembled my jig, then went on to discover ive been sent the wrong fittings
Fkin fuming, so not only will i have to wait atleast a week b4 i can get enough 6mm steel, but probs a week on top of that to get it welded right.
So while i sit fuming over this bank holiday weekend, i done some digging and found these pics of my s**t from when the owner b4 last had her...
What a differnce
Spec was from what ive found..
Stage 2 head
Kent cvh35
S1 ERST turbo (standard)
-31 acc
L&B Flywheel and crank
0.5mm overbore
AP organic clutch
Cossie ITP
Mocal cooler
Front mount
And possibly chipped..
Poly bush's
And still has the Koni's..they abit Shagged now though
Have sent the Guy a PM on PF , but pics were posted in 2006 so HOPEFULLY he's still about and will maybe give me an insight into her life and FULL spec
If i could get her a qtr looking that good, i be a happy man..Not this week now though
Right Im off to find some rope and a tree
