Right then, I hope this isn't repeated info from other people, but...
Grab the hairdryer, a cupful of petrol, an old rag or three, a length of thick fishing line, and a plastic knife.
Using the twine, remove the plastic side strips by wrapping the twine around a finger on each hand and pulling the taut line beneath the strips. They are only held on by foam-based double sided tape.
Using a petrol-soaked rag and the plastic knife's straight edge, scrape away at the foam tape until it's all gone. You may need to T-cut the paint along these panels around the freshly uncovered paint to even it all out - it all comes up smooth in the end though!
Remove rear badges and stickers by heating with the hairdryer, and then peeling. Again, use the petrol to remove glue. DON'T use the petrol and hairdryer within about 30 secs of each other, and keep them a good 6 feet away from each other or else!
Also, the front badge covers up a 10mm hole in the panel, so leave that one on there for the time being.
For £30-ish quid, you can buy clear side repeaters and front indicators - these will look very nice on your car and help remove the "zitty" look from the orange bits. An extra tenner will sort you out some tinting spray - use a few coats and then a thicker layer to add gloss to the finish, after rubbing the rear clusters down with T-cut or 800 to 1200 grit silicon carbide paper (aka wet 'n' dry).
Next up is to change to the later spec, smaller mirrors, but I think I'll leave that one for another day
Hope this goes some way to helping - Al
