A question for the mods?

Postby fezzy-no1 on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:57 am

Why do you lock posts just because there not in the right place? :-?

The insurace section isnt in the right place, i couldnt find it before hence why i put my insurance post in the general car discussion section and it gets locked,

So i am just saying insurance isnt a modification so why is t in the modification section? :-?

FiestaBen :Because modifications effect insurance?

Insurance still isnt a modification,

All other forums i have looked on have insurance in its own section.

They get locked because they aren't in the right section, you answered your own question there

If you read the site rules it tells you that :P

At the end of the day it was still in the wrong place. If you were caught speeding you couldn't say sorry I didn't see the sign :P

Ade setup the forum topic headings and he is the only one that can change them, so if your not happy with them drop him a PM.

It was tagged on to the mod section just stop people asking questions in general and it was somewhere to put it.

Because we can. When there's a lot we're more likely to lock a thread with a quick note than hunt for the forum it was supposed to be in in the first place - the posting guidelines are there to try keep the place organised and help people get the right answers (posting a tech question in here is more likely to get people ripping the piss than helping).

In answer to your PM, no, I didn't lock your thread but if I had, what then ? This one's off topic too but frankly I've spent the past five hours sorting out a server and I'm ready for bed so you know what, I'm going to lock it because it's two less clicks than moving it.
Nothing to see here...
