I'm tempted to have ago on the track, but I either need some smaller wheels or the car painted and the arches trimmed by them. Whats required to go on the track?

dont worry about appearence mate its a track day,,, anything goes enjoy it and enjoy the experience of your car.

just need a car thats releiable and fit for the track... good brakes lowered and no leaks

I'm not bothered what it looks like, but the alloys are rubbing on the arches, thats what I meant, Was gonna get it painted and the arches done ready for fitp, can't really go in the track with it scrubbing like a Bic™. Would have no side wall left after a lap

if you still have the original frst alloys you could put them on? the requirements from castle combe for going on the track are either an MOT or up to MOT standards i believe. at rallyday last year i saw someone going round the track in a standard 106 1.5 diesel, pretty much anything goes, and its very good fun.

Found out today that the cheaper track times are only available from;

9-11 am
4-5pm

Its £100 for 6 sessions,
So what I'm going to do is book these times;

2x 9.30am
2x 10.45am
2x 4.00pm

So if anybody wants to give me £50 they can have the other sessions with me and we can go out together

I'm also booking 2.00pm to get my 4 sessions in what I wanted

Hopefully we can at least 1 session with most of people on here wanting to do track time together

Right, I've sold my 3 other cheap times to my mate in his Saff Cosworth

My times are confirmed as;

9.30 am

10.45am

4.00pm

I'm going to book 2pm as well over the next week.

Hopefully we can get as many FT members as possible on

one or more of the above times

Be quick though, as they do tend to get booked up quite quickly

My club have had the booking pack for over a week now.

I booked my sessions through my club, basically paid the £100 for the 6 sessions

and put a note in to say what times I wanted,

rang Maria to confirm that they would be ok and she said yes

Might pay just to ring her and ask about the FT club booking pack then fella.

So far its still cost me less than £1k

wheels going back on E-bay, tyres going on my Comp TH's

4x 185/60/13 Avon acb10s

so many tyres. i was speaking to a guy who races in the mr2 championship/challenge thingy, they do about 10 races a year and only need to use 1 set of tyres per season i was pretty impressed with that.

anyways, i need to ring maria to sort out our stand etc, didnt get time to do it today, so monday will be my next opportunity, i will update when ive spoken to her.
