adjusting avo coilovers + kent cam question

hi guys, how do i adjust the stiffness of the coilovers on my frst??

and having the bought the car, the old owner said that a kent cam was fitted and the idle is very lumpy, can this be sorted anyhow?

right..the coilovers...to adjust the fronts you need the pastic adjuster ..(if you havent got it a small spanner will do...)...you place this on top of the suspension and adjust..if its stiff either way then leave them or they will snap off!!..the rears are done easier if you take the wheel off..where the bottom of the leg goes into the hub there is a adjuster..turn as required...as for the cam...if you have a adjustable pulley and are compitant doing it then wip the spark plugs out..adjust the pulley a small amount..turn the engine over buy hand to make sure nothing touches..plugs back in and go for a drive..if its better then your getting there if worse the try the other way... best left to a proffesionally really... :)

can the cam be adjusted without a vernier pulley?

nope, a vernier is needed, im afraid if you want hot cams, a lumpy idle is something you need to put up with :)
