Advice/Comments needed... Insurance claim...
I wonder if any one would be able to help me at all?
The other day I came off the A12 and was in lane to go straight over at a roudabout, some bloke in front went to go, and stopped randomly for no reason what so ever (all a bit dodgy). I stopped in time but the car behind didnt mange to, and then shunted me into him. It was very slight and the few scratches I did have on my car just t-cut out. However, the bloke I was shunted into is claiming all this damage to his car - which blatently was not caused by this minor bump! We all went away after the incident, and the bloke was happy for me and the girl to pay for it without going through insurance - I then clocked it that I wouldnt be held at fault and I called my insurance company. I thought at leaste it would be sorted. But now, the bloke in front is claiming that he felt two shunts, indicating the damage caused to his car was my fault! Now I am going to loose my no claims bonus and its not fair - as he is blatently lieing. The only reason I can even imagine why he is lieing is because he is trying to make it look as bad as possible to compensate for all the supposed damage caused to his car.
Ive told my insurance company all of this but I really wanted to see if anyone had any advice or insight into what I can/should do?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Speak to your insurers and explain to them the guy is pulling a fast one. Invite your insurers to come and inspect the damage to your car and even offer his insurers to view the damage. They will soon see that the damage being claimed for couldn't have been caused as claimed. With any luck he will get into a world of trouble for falsifying an insurance claim. Lord Brocket did time for it, it's called insurance fraud
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Camera's are good things at accident scenes. Best bet is what has been said above. Personaly, if someone hits me, no matter how small, either i recieve a writen note from them saying they caused the accident, or were both not moving till the police come. IN your case its the bloke behind you who caused all the damage to all cars, so it would be shiz if the insurance comapny oculdnt tell whose fault it was.
good luck with it neway.
good luck with it neway.
Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.
