Advice on first sound system
Just got my first car, fiesta, black, 1.4.....
I'm now in the process of getting together a sound system...
First of all the head unit I'm looking at getting is the Alpine CDA-9855R
For the two front door speakers I'm thinking of getting a pair of ALPINE-SPS-13C2
And then possibly Alpine: SPS-69C3 - 3-WAY 6"x9" speakers for on the parcel shelf???
Does anyone have any advice on what they think would be better or if its any good? dont really want to spend more than £500 and not too fussed or want to really install an amp etc....
Thanks guys

fiend :Don't bother with 6x9's if you want good sound quality/clarity. Spend the extra cash on some decent comps up front, amp them and the sub.
You might want to replace the rear speakers too.
I'd agree with this, after having had both set-ups. Spend your money right and you could have a new HU, sub and amp, new speakers all round and all speakers amped for less than 500 quid.

Drop BassBoy a shout on here. He sorted me out a treat and knows his stuff and gives good honest advice without just trying to sell you stuff.
I would deffo opt for an Alpine deck and some quality components like Rainbow for up front. Wouldn't spend money on 6x9's I would get a sub instead and a 4 channel amp. You can then run th efront speakers off two channels and bridge the other two to run the sub. Could have a nice sounding little system.
Before adding any audio kit make sure you have an alarm. You'll be plenty pissed if the sticky fingered scumbags help themselves.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Ok, so lets start again....
I'm decided on, head unit wise, the Alpine CDA 9855R
From then on I'm open to any advice,
I definately want some components in the front.... the best I can get with my money as these are important to me..
Secondly I think and as recommended get and amp to power the front comps??
Where would this amp go and how hard would it be to fit? Secondly how hard are comps to fit in the front door, 13cm? and where do I fit the tweeters?
Should I get some Rear speakers?
The only problem I see with getting a sub is that I really need the space in the boot so not too keen on getting a sub?? Any alternatives?
If anyone could suggest a whole package (bassboy?) I dont want to spend more than £500 as said..
Cheers guys

there are retailers online and in magazines I read that offer packages. These normally include HU, 6x9s, Amp and Sub all as a package. Some good ones crop up now and again and there are some out there without the 6x9s and have decent component ones instead.
imo, 6x9s are a complete waste of time since they lose the sound quality very easily and there's nothing worse than the stupid rattle they chuck out when they can't produce decent sound. I can't for the life of me understand why people blare their 6x9s to the max and have a total racket going on instead of a quality sound

its a peice of piss to wire an amp in,
all you got to do is get an amp, 4 channel would be best, once you got your amp buy the wireing kit if not suplied,
right wireing kit should have,
1x red power cable
1X black earth cable
1x pre-out leads
2x speaker cable
all you do is wire the red one to the battery and feed it through the car either by the ecu directly above the battery or behind the water filler tank and then run it behind the floor trim to the boot,
allso at this time you should wire the pre out cables on the oposite side of the car as the power,
once in the boot, wire the leads up to the amp, and use the earth wire, tap in to one of the light earth points on the back of the boot,
wire your 6x9`s or sub or what not, and fiddle with the equaliser till its right
