thank you for you interesteing problem. right here goes

1, get pen and paper
2,write downthe following incase anything goes wrong
3, create a boot disk using control panel / addremove software (see windows help for more info)
4, insert ya newly created boot disk in the floppy drive
5, restart ya machine
6, once machine has booted of disk at typing prompt enter the following

FORMAT /S/Q C:

7, then enter a name for the drive such as t0553r
8, remove floppy disc and restart machine
9, after a few seconds you machine will boot up to you new black and white style interface
10, and your finished, the new system will not crash, not be able to get hacked..nothing

i am guessing it formats into some sort of DOS with what you've said.

That's be dos command...it'll quick format your drive...in this case C: without warning you, or asking if you wish to continue...and if your HDD is less than 40gb in size the drive will be formatted within 3 - 5 seconds...not long to reach for that elusive off switch to save your data

I got easier and more "fun" way.

1.Grab crowbar
2.Insert crowbar into front of PC case.
3.Wiggle about and generally smash it up.
4.Go grab a cup o' tea for your hard labours.
