Ahmed Bayjoo Cam???

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

Postby Rustyskies on Sun Dec 02, 2001 6:52 pm

My FRST is totally standard other than K&N and stainless exhaust. Is there any point putting a new cam in (Ahmed Bayjoo) or is the standard fine for the job?

Is there anyone out there running a standard FRST with an AB cam? Does it make any difference, performance etc???

Cheers

it can be done, but ideally u might wanna go for a chip and injectors as well (or instead) and u'll be sorted. the AB cams are very good and give god midrange power increases. what u'll realise with the cams is that the power band will increase and ul get alot more mid range grunt. The reason y i said go for the injectors and chip is so that u still get the correct amount of fuelling for the engine and it dont detonate under the new mods. If u do go for all of these, then ur looking at a genuwine 170odd bhp, then maybe u can invest in a -31 actuator as well so the boost will hold for longer along the rev range

Any suggestions and prices for where I can get the chip, injectors etc done.

I live in the Isle of Man where chips come in a paper bag and an injector is someone who shoots up

Probably get it done at Castle Performance cos they is in the North West. Anybody had any work done there, good/bad stories to tell???

Cheers
