aint the postman nice :D

Hey everyone, got back from work a little while ago and saw a little present waiting for me so thought i would open it...

but before i tell you what it is...ill let you know whats going on with the Focus...

the Focus went CRAZY with bass for a few months...with a spec sheet that looked like (just the bass)

2 Orion D5000's
2 Orion HCCA 15.2's
2 Optima Yellow tops
14cuft ported box tuned to 26hz

which basically meant no back seats LOL...it was only meant to be in for one weekend...but i kept it in for fun LOL

check it out!

excuse the mess...was in the process of taking it out when i took the pics!

I used to pull regular 148-151db with no problems and even got mentioned in the official orion news letter :Q

now....ALL of that rubbish has gone and being sold off LOL...and all that remains is my headunit, my mid amp and my front components!

plan with the car now?....SQ all the way baby!!! the install will now consist of; 2 pairs of components, 1 pair of mid bass drivers, 1 12" sub, 1 battery in the boot, a processor, line driver and an epicenter! with just using this equipment...im hoping to still do hair tricks ;)

ordered my mid-bass drivers yesterday and they turned up today!!!

now what do you think of these....

check the size of the magnet on them!!!

The excursion is 13mm EACHWAY!!...thats as much as a Pioneer 3004SPL!! they measure in at around 3-4" deep so i hope they fit in the stock locations in the doors!

The amount of mid-bass these should be able to produce (especially in my doors) should be amazing!...and should allow me to run with no subs needed if i ever want to take my box out! they will only be playing in the region of around 150hz-80/60hz before the sub takes over and plays down to around 20hz!

hopefully if these are good enough, i will be able to supply them :D

elemental designs are good stuff :) i was gonna get a couple of the slim subs but it started to get a bit expensive and decided it wasnt worth having that kinda equipment in the car untill the car itself was in decent condition :P

they do good sound deadening stuff too called eDead, got a couple of layers of it in the boot and back seat. just as good if not better (imo) than dynomat and half the price!

you get it from YGRO?

eDead aint whats its cracked up to be from what ive heard...i think my £1000+ worth of dynamat Xtreme is good enough for the job LOL dont think it had a chance to stand up to the pressure levels i was hitting in the focus or any of my cars for that matter lol

hopefully my US Amps AX600TU tube amp will be here this coming week...then waiting delivery of my 2 sets of RE XXX components for the front doors...then sorting an amp out for the mid-basses and ordering loads of Audiocontrol equipment...then i think ill treat myself to a set of AP 6pot 355mm discs for the car before starting on the sub, sub amp and power supply lol

i can book my car in at ur shop in hayes for an engine conversion?
that'll save me ringinh around all the garages and having heart attacks at what they quote me :P

someone should be in in the next few days btw to get that kit i wanted, its for my birthday :) if they arnt im gonna be pissed off cos that means my dads doing what hes good at which is finding cheap alternatives to what i want which are actually a load of s**t

never tried edead in a high end install but it works a lot better than i thought it would for me, considering i did my whole boot and under back seats for only £60 :P
