Right lads, i know getting speed out of a hcs engine is mostly imposible and im not even expecting much in any gain from this but im just wondering if i run a pipe from my airbox to down at the front of the car would it be a bit better? and also which opening do i run it too i know theres 2 circular opening on the airbox 1 at the very front and 1 underneath it that sits over the exhaust manifold. Should i run the pipe to the front 1?

ta :)

The likely hood of you noticing any difference is extremely small.

However if you want to continue with it you need to run the piping towards the front hole as the lower hole is the hot air intake and is supposed to be connected to the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

ta mate :) yeh i doubt it would improve very much i was just thinking its got to cool the engine a bit faster and slightly more efficent as that air box origionally just sits in the hot air

Hi.

It wont cool the engine faster or better, cold/cool & moist (foggy)air is better than hot/warm/dry air for "combustion" in the cylinders & it gets abit hot in those cylinders,lol... It won't make much if any difference on this engine for sound, economy or performance.

The idea is that cooler air is denser, therfore more oxygen, bigger bang, yada yada yada.
