Air filter/Induction kit

Postby jimbob_443 on Fri Sep 01, 2006 2:56 pm

I have been browisng on the net looking for an air filter or induction kit however I'm a bit confused. If you purchased an air filter with a heat shield and a cold air feed seperatley and fixed the feed on to the lip of the heat shield would this have the same effect as having a forced air feed induction kit? Im pretty sure it would but i wanna check before i ruin my car or something :D

Thanks

Not at all, cold air feed and heat shield goes a bit of the way to reducing heat soak but its by no means forced. Forced induction is obtained from the use of ram scoops and enclosed filters.
