Air filter noise

Postby Matt L on Tue Jan 20, 2004 9:43 pm

Should my K&N bolt on filter on my xr2 be lettin' off such a loud hiss. You cant really hear it with foot flat on the floor but wen my foots half way down it sounds like too much air is being sucked. I thought K&N should let of a bit of a roar, i was ok [ERRR] it for a few weeks but now i'm gettin pi**ed off [ERRR] it now. Its all you can hear when i drive passed.
Any info would b appreciated.
thanks, matt

K&N's do produce a very definete noise and I noticed on my 1.6s (xr2 engine) that the filter really was very loud for what it was but its benefits were very clear, better throttle response etc!

K&N's cant suck to much air in really but they are designed to get more air into the engine!

If you dont want it anymore u can sell it to me if u want :D

now sold but not forgotten! :(
