Air Filter
Okay i have a MK3 1.3i and i want a air filter.
I have had a k&n but really wasnt to impressed by this and took it off so i am looking for a new one instead.
I dont have mega money so keep it fairly cheap. My mate has a green air filter on his clio (is that what its called ) and that sounds wicked.
Cheers

I've got a piperX on a 1.25 and it's very loud.
About 3K - 3.5K revs it's at its loudest.
As some1 already said you probably won't get much difference between the noise. But if you are adoment you want a new one got for PiperX, bout £90.

On a 16v car fair enough, But on an 8v like these they will all sound very similar.

Have you adjusted the tappets? How many miles has it done? Maybe smooth the rocker things out as in the guide?

If your 100% its 19k and not 119k dont bother smoothing them!
Adjusting them is 'easy' it took me a couple of attempts to get it right but if you read the haynes it may help.
I find the easyest way to turn the engine over is to put it in 4th, jack up drivers front wheel and rotate the wheel as if your driving forwards.
When you see the first rocker go down, adjust the last etc..
down do
1 8
2 7
3 6
4 5
5 4
6 3
7 2
8 1
You can tell if its inlet or exhaust depending on if its above a spark plug or exhaust port!
I'm PM'ing you the tappet settings ive used..
