Got the different Pipe to go the the filter, instead of the black one its now alloy.

Got oil breather fitted ( back of engine bay)

And got the hose covers on.

The problem with aftermarket filters is the oil contaminates to wires of the MAF sensor causing the ecu to not get the correct reading of airmass.

I'd been having problems latley with the car, when it got to about 5000 RPM it jolted and hardly had any power atall.

anyway, had not a clue what it was as I hadn't changed anything to the engine apart the air filter.

after about 10 mins of looking arround to see what it was, I found out the alluminium pipe for the air filter had ripped at the join !

I've fitted the standard black pipe now and it is totally fine :)

I think the problem was it was dragging air in through the rip and not the filter, and the air flow meter wasnt giving the right readings to the ECU or something like that.
