I am soon going to be the owner of a mk4 1.25 fiesta and so I have started to look around for upgrades already.

I have been looking at K&N induction kits and was going to purchase one when I noticed that they make two different versions of induction kit for my car. K&N do a induction kit for the mk4 1.25 without MAS, and one for the mk4 1.25 with MAS.

Now I know that there are two different versions, I must wait to see if the mk4 I get has a MAS or not so until then I can't buy one.

However my question is how will I know if my mk4 has a MAS or not?. Is it easy to tell?. How would I know?.

What does the MAF actually do?.
