just had my fester on the comp at work ready 4 its MOT at end of the month & BAD NEWS!!

My emitions (spelling? :???: ) r throught the roof!! Its runs really good though? Im told that ive probably got an air leak and that its messing up the results????

We were running it with no air filter though, would this contribute to this result? (4 the MOT i will have the standard one on  )

We also saw that im missing 1 thead and bolt off my inlet manifold to head. wud this cause an air leak???

Please help [ERRR] im sh!tting bricks now. Do i need a new engine? Plz say no :???:

TO check for a leak at the inlet manifold run the engine and spay WD40 or carb cleaner around the bolt. However I doubt this is the fault, as when I had a dodgy inlet manifold gasket (ie non-Ford part) the car idles at 4000rpm

I would check you hoses it it really is an air leak.
