The boyfriend put on a new radiator not so long ago, and now i'm losing loads of water and part of the radiator always remains cold, this inidicates to me that I have an air lock, how the hell do I fix this?!

Engine running, expansion bottle cap off, heater on hot + blip the throttle a few times.. Sure its nothing like a thermostat??. Possibly a blocked rad!!

Kat hun - check the breather pipes that are attached to your rad, if they're all ok, then take the header cap off and turn the bleed valve on the rad so that all the water pours out, wait about 5mins then close the bleed valve, fill your header tank back up as see if that sorts it out.

Make sure you've not had the car running for a while as you WILL burn yourself.
