Airconditioning in MK2 RS-turbo Escort..HOW!?

Topics related to styling, bodywork, wheels, interior etc.

I am in deep s***. Sorry for the harsh language. Now, my heavily modified Escort has a problem. My bird. My car's black, my interior is black and it's a bit warm in the summertime. Infact one can barely drive it. I need advice on how to do air conditioning, what parts I need changed and so forth. Or is there a ready-made kit with all the necessities like compressor and hosing and heater elements and such. If I go to a company that makes them they charge nearly £2000. Darn. I could probably have my mate make it if he had proper instructions and parts needed. Basically, how it's done.

Thanks -Frankie-

What escort is it? like fiesta fras says, u'll need a donor car, such as a granada. ur gonna have to hack quite a few things in order for it to fit....and then it might just squeeze in. is ur escort a turbo?

Yes, it's an RS turbo. Does an airconditioning device from Granada or Sierra fit? I thought they were like unique for each type. If I got a hold of an older car with airconditioning what do I need to change in order to make it work on my Rsturbo?
