Hey guys I have the Alpine CDE-9850Ri headunit and on the way back home from work had music playing worked fine, went to go into town today and changed to my ipod and I only had the left channel working, had the unit out checked all the connections, changed back to the cd and worked fine. Unplugged the ipod and went back to the ipod and all the channels worked, but i cant control the ipod now... any idea whats wrong? I have a 3rd gen ipod, but it all worked fine before if thats any help :s

Sounds like either the cable or ipod is damaged or dirty - clean up all the connections on the cable and the bottom of your ipod.
