Alternator Wiring (Zetec or CVH?)
Hi all,
Realised I am missing some alternator wiring between it and the starter.
What do you have?

If its just a big red cable you need just get one made up or get an earth cable fae the scrappys

I think it has the small wire for the dash light and two larger cables?

Thats the battery cable ,goes to the starter and an earth on it

I have the bit that goes from the battery to the starter, but its from a 1.1 so maybe I need something else!

sorry mate i only have the bit u already have ,im sure its 2 more earths in that bit 1 for the gearbox and the others got a plug on it i think
they aint that hard to get ,see them on ebay a bit

From the alternator it's one fat red wire that goes to the starter motor (same as battery feed to it), then also there's a thin blue wire which is the battery light. Usually a bullet connector for it half way along the bottom of the front pannel.

Is that it? My 1.1 wire with the plug thing on the end had more than one fat wire plus the thin blue one I'm sure!
