amp not working??

Hi
The power light on my amp is not coming on and i dont know why
i checked the power cable, fuse etc, and it is all wired up properly. also the earth but im not sure if it is earthed properly. what do i need to do to make sure the amp is earthed properly? also are there any ways to test my amp to see if it works?

have you checked the fuse at amp and at the battery? check these then check for breaks in the remote wire (the blue one).

yeh i checked them and they seem ok, im going to try another power cable today tho. does the remote lead have anything do with power though? because the amp light is not coming on so i just thought it would be either earth or power?

Could be the remote as it's this lead that tells the amp to turno on.

thanks for your help but i sorted it. i took apart the in line fuse and there was loads of black s**t and the actual fuse had fallen apart inside!
