Amp on lowest volume but still loud?

Postby dontpannic on Tue Oct 09, 2007 10:22 am

Hi All.

Using the ford 6000CD unit with one of these http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /3794.html connected to the amp. When I turn the volume (input level) on the amp right down, the volume level isn't right, i.e. its still quite loud. Is there anything I can do to reduce this? Filters on the line or anything?

Cheers
Nick

nothing else you can do im afraid...unless you buy a RCA bass controller in which you can reduce the voltage going into the amp through the preouts

Cheers for the reply mate but I think I solved it :D

Only by looking at the website above where I bought the RCA adaptor from did I realise that it has its own regulator :bonkers:

Adjusted that and it's fine now - sounds pretty good for a stock HU!
