Another Dutch RS1800 rebuild, update 22-03-11
After 2 years owning a RS1800 i have decided to rebuild my own one
old fiesta
Later when it's finsihd i wan't a 2.1 zetec turbo engine in it, so lot's to do
Because the old chassis wasn't salvageable anymore i scrapped that one and bought a xr2i 1.6 for the shell
To bad that the new shell was also a bit of pain in the ass
Let's start with the holes ( other side exactly the same )

Left side, stripped down the inside and welded a new mould etc
Some small holes in the rear
Smooth and filled up side
Also fixed the sunroof, only the pics are reallly bad quality
I have fit 1 right side front screen, 2 sills , right side filler cap and arch

Re: Another Dutch RS1800 rebuild
Some pictures from the bodyshop/ painter
I wanted a normal ford color, i had 2 choices: Imperial blue ( fiesta sport ) or pacifica blue from the XR2i
After some good thinking i went for the pacifica blue color, because every one does the imperial blue.

Re: Another Dutch RS1800 rebuild
Because a fiesta isn't the most quietest car in the world, i want to improve that.
I bought 15 rolls of rhinomat for isolation
Cleaning up
And the whole floor is wrapped
And trying to finnish the car, also put the rhinomat in the trunk, doors, and rear wings

Re: Another Dutch RS1800 rebuild
Look nice with the smoked rear taillights. Also fitted the rear windscreen with new brand new rubbers
Now the real headache begins, custom wirring the whole car ( pieces of the door )
Bought a custom doorwirring from a fiesta mk3.5 , and fitted mooooore wires in it.. resulting in 1 empty pin

Thanks m8's.
The problem is,, that he is finnishd.. but also stripped again
Escort cosworth front, and special custom headlights, Intercooler need to be fitted
Also the wirring in the engine bay is not what i want, so i want to customize that also.

Ok, the engine stuff.
Just pulled out the RS1800 engine from the donor ( daily ride ) as you can see, it's not the most prettiest in the world
Standard exhaust manifold..splitt in half
Bit of color .. yea i know.. but this will not be the final engine
