Another Fiesta...

I've bought a few Mk3's recently, now they're worth peanuts. They are intended to be a runabout for my girlfriend, but I keep finding better ones advertised so can't help myself

Got a 1995 1.4 Ghia, PAS, 27k, Full Ford Service History for £410. So it was optimal for her in terms of safety, I added:

  • New Genuine Lower arms
  • New Genuine track rod ends
  • New Genuine vented discs & pads (did a vented setup conversion)
  • New brake hoses F+R
  • Mk2 Mondeo v6 Master cylinder and servo (only just fits!) and I formed a set of new pipes to suit
  • New Genuine Front ARB mounts (tapped the lower arm carriers and fitted an ARB
  • New Genuine ARB drop links
  • New Genuine ARB Bushes
  • New Genuine top mounts, front and rear
  • New Genuine RS1800 Dampers, front and rear
  • GMAX Springs
  • Zetec-S rear beam with new genuine bushes
  • New Genuine rear shoes and wheel bearings
  • OMP Rear strut brace
  • Front ARB and S-Brace
  • New Genuine alternator
  • New Toyo's all round
  • Tracking

Just got an Si to repalce the Ghia; 62k, FSH, loads of receipts etc. £475. I'll swap over all the new parts from the Ghia (pain in the ass!!), and I've bought a 2.0 from Sphinx that I'll add.

It comes with new GMAX suspension and a Mongoose exhaust (impressed with it - much quieter than my old Magnex), it has RS skirts and RS1800 alloys (painted type not polished).

It's never been welded and never had an advisory for body corrosion. The shell really is excellent, although there are a couple of scabs on the sills so to make it mint I've ordered a pair of those along with a pair of doors and a tailgate, lots of car park dents! I'm going to respray the lot over Christmas before my GF gets it, then give it to her as a present.

Pics attached.

Nice, But slightly annoying.

I presume the 'rust' was similar to what I've just had sorted on mine. Little bits dotted around!

No, what's annoying is I missed one with 31k a few days before

Yeah, just a few surface blebs but no holes or anything that would affect an MOT. It's quicker for me to repalce the sill rather than mess around grinding little areas etc.

Unfortuantely I am

I was looking for an RS1800 or Turbo TBH, but there is a massive price difference between a good example of those and the Si/normal models. As we live in London it's not really worth her having something that's worth thousands, also she hardly uses a car.

This should be under a £1k when it's finished with the 2.0, and IMO runs rungs around the later Fiestas in terms of handling and performance.
