Any point tweaking a 1.25l zetec-s?

Are there any quick and/or cheap ways to wring a bit more performance of a 1.25 zetec-s engine?

Nope. Stick a back box on and a panel filter into a drilled standard airbox to get maybe a couple of extra ponies. You could spend a fortune on that engine and still have a car with not a lot of power.

Add bits that you can remove again then sell the car in a year or so and buy something quicker
