anyone else work with someone a bit "special"?

tell me, if you were the person who writes a monthly newsletter about what's going on in your organisation (which goes out to hundreds of people both internally and externally, and is also published on the website) and you need to add a link to further information, what would you do?

a) search the site and find the link?

b) or would you instead think "f**k it" and make them up?

well the muppet who writes it in my office thought option b was the right thing to do, then sent it out to all the contacts!

it gets better, some of the text is blue and underlined insinuating it's a link - except it's just blue text underlined...

also, we have an article in "latest news" from February 2007!

and I thought I'd have an easy day at work today...

Some of the freaks I work with is amazing. I could easily write a book and probably get paid more than I am for working!

One girl, and I use the term very loosely, is a fat mess, loves regaling all of us about her previous evening's session at weight-watchers however has the biggest fixation on food it is unbelievable. It's impossible to have anything to eat in the office as if there is any food about she will come and look at it, give her opinion and try and continue this conversation while the owner is trying to consume said food. If it is announced that there are leftover sandwiches from a meeting, she will quite literally gallop down the office to get at it which makes one think that if she put as much effort into weight-watchers then she wouldn't be in this situation in the first place! I'm sure she has a really nice personality though.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Now Now boys that isn't nice. I'm a big person and I find your comment very wrong.

Maybe if you talk to her maybe you could work on something to help her instead of taking the piss out of her.

Listen, I'm a fat fucker as well but I don't go round deluding myself that going to weight-watchers will help. If I want to get thin I should get off my lazy fat arse and exercise. I also do not have to interrogate people with food about the pro and cons of eating peanut butter.

What about the fun/eccentric people you work with?

if you don't have any then you are that person!!!!
