They are likely to be DNS issues or PC issues rather than the connection. It either works or it doesn't.

Had similar problems with all those sites and the internet itself is rather slow last night and this morning. MSN and Bandwidth tests are fine though so no idea what's going on. It's fine now though!abbasar2000 :Can access here, other car sites, everything apart from facebook, msn and ebay.. ? its not just this computer ive plugged the ethernet cable into my other laptop and its the same?

Ever thought it's Virgin? When I had to send a 10 page dossier determining the problem 70miles away that I could never physically see and they couldn't an issue even though they could look at the hardware, it seemed bad enough. They throttle you like mad, no matter how much you use. Everyone gets cut down on their line speed at peak times, deliberately.

Come on.
Not everyone gets throttled, I have only been once.

I've been with virgin for over 2 years and have never once been throttled... Possibly because I never go over my bandwidth allowance!?

Re: Anyone got virgin broadband and having probs?
Also suffered with throttling once or twice. Shouldn't be anything to do with bandwidth because it's unlimited with Virgin is it not? Has to phone up and complain, nobody seemed to be any help and just blamed it on my PC! Anyway, finally got through to someone with brains and told me it was capped and gave us a £5 off next bill
