Anyone will suppose my ZetecTurbo BHP? (see details inside)
Hi there!
I'm asking this cause here in Bulgaria we have ONLY 1 dynometer and it's hard to "get ticket for a ride"
My spec will be (very soon):
1800 cc Zetec Turbo:
Standart Zetec pistons;
2,5 mm decompression plate (zetec-turbo.co.uk say that will be fine for 8,2:1 CR);
Zetec inletmanifold;
ERST manifold with S2 watercooled T3;
Escort Cossie IC;
2.0L Zetec cams, throttle body, under piston cooling oiljets;
Megasquirt DIY ECU;
Nissan 200SX (S14) 375cc sidefeed injectors;
Diesel gearbox (don't know ratio)
Cause Megasquirt ECU, I'll map engine by myself - as best as I can.
So, anyone?
Ohh, car is Orion!

375cc injectors are major overkill for that engine, far bigger than it needs. With the standard pistons, heat becomes a major problem, as you may know. After a lot of deliberation, I have decided to limit mine to 200bhp (very similar spec to yours) until I get some forged pistons. The injectors you have would allow you to make enormous power, but you would be in grave danger of severely damaging your pistons if you use those injectors at anywhere near their limit.
Your question is probing for a power prediction. My response would be to do what I have done...not necessarily exactly - there is a 1.8ZT on a decompression plate setup making about 230-240bhp on stock pistons, but at high load for long periods, the pistons will suffer. What do you think about that?

Hi!
My target is 170-180BHP, cause that is everyday car. Forged pistons is a dream for me - I can't afford these for years, cause they cost all my project. Also I'm aiming to beat some Golf guys with GT and GTI here, cause they think that Golf mean GOD!!!
Here is a question about decompression plate: from what material must be made? Copper? Steel or aluminium? I've made some CAD drawing and local shop can made lazer cut plate for responable price, but can't decide about material...
I have some other questions, but I'll ask when time comes for them...

If you only want 170-180bhp then your injectors are flowing almost twice what they need to. Beige injectors would be spot on for you.
I guess the spacer plate is made from steel, check http://www.zetec-turbo.co.uk for info on that, fraid I don't have enough time to check for you right now.
