You could make it fit but it's not worth it. The ERST does not like DV's and you will have a load of grief with idling and stalling. Spend your cash on something that will benefit the car mate

i heard that simple single piston BOV`s mismatch erst engine, but twin piston bov fits perfectly, and does not make any negative meaning for pressure or for something else, what do you think about this opinion?

Load of marketing hogwash is my honest thoughts on that opinion. I've had three diff DV's on my Escort including a twin piston Bailey item. The Bailey was by far the best DV in use but getting shot of it completely was by far the most beneficial to the car.

Some people claim huge improvements with a DV fitted but these are also the same people who will quote all the marketing spiel at you from the manufacturer and not have the first idea what any of it means.

DV's also make your car sound like a bus

so that bus sound is my goal :) my car will be for show purposses ;) so you think it is possible to achieve that bus sound without any torque or pressure lost? i know that BOV is healthy for turbo , but this is probably marketing trick as you told;) thank you for priceless information

Shannon, in my best Shaggy voice "It wasn't me"

And Vachtang, . Potentialy a dump valve may cause damaging overspeeding of the turbo. On a lot of Jap cars GT series turbo's are used which see a lot more suceptable to failing with the pressures of bost pressure being appliedin the opposite direction. On an RS Turbo though this is NOT the case and unless you are running in excess of 30psi of boost or a T4 or GT series turbo there is no reason to fit one.

If you want one then go ahead and fit one it is at the end of the day your decision and different people like different stuff. Just don't buy into the "it saves the turbo" as it really is complete tripe. Look at the top RST's in the country, how many are using a DV? Not many

If you want the noise mate then that's all good.

MotorSport Developments sell an electronic controller to make DV's work properly with the Escort. :Q

Type 1. Twin piston type:
This dump valve has been specially developed for turbo charged motor vehicles with air flow sensors, such as Vauxhall Calibras, Escort RS Turbos, Fiat Uno`s, Punto`s, Porsches, etc
thats what i found in that site. Apexi bov is twin piston too, maybe it would work properely without any additional changes? becouse chips and etc is verry expensive, for example chip costs 300£, and i bought my RS only for 100£ :)
