ARE ESCORT TURBO BLOCKS THE SAME AS FRST

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

I am wanting to build a new motor for my FRST and have found a escort turbo short motor for sale and was wondering if the blocks are identicle. Is the oil feed for the turbo in the same place etc?
If not does anyone have a spare block and parts?

no the blocks are not the same the fiesta management system takes the position of the pistons from grooves on the flywheel. and they are picked up by the crank position sensor which is in a hole in the block just above the starter motor the escort block has`nt got one so you won`t be able to fire up the engine. everything else is more or less the same fiestaturbo engines are so hard to come by

I think scort turbo engines have a differend piston shape too, maybe??

Ie EFi uses rich burn, and MFi uses lean burn pistons??

ive just fitted an escort turbo bottom end to my fiesta
all you need to do is take a bare block to an engineering firm that does machining to get the hole put in
the bung the sensor goes in is 0nly £4 from fords
